It sure does, if the truth be known they probably do
not like stopping, because of time and fuel costs,
particularly if there is no opposing train to cross.

BUT, they do stop for set down and pick up at sidings
which have been "recognised" as set down and pick up
points.  Mind you, there are quite a few crossing
stations where only the very brave would want to get
off, simply because of their isolation and no humans
for miles.!

The Ghan regularly picks up and sets down passengers,
GSR/NRC are to be commended for carrying on the
CR/ANR/AN tradition of providing a train service to
folks in the Outback.
