Shepp snippets



A description of a typical day at Shepparton.

Today (Wed 23.6) Shepparton hosted an array of motive power again in the
form of  P 20, X 51, X 50 on 9353 down Tocumwal goods at around 04.00,
shunting off at Mooroopna's Freight terminal and Shepparton's fast track,
then continuing on to Toc with general loading. (The P is Toc's yard pilot
during the busy grain period , currently at the moment rice is being
loaded ).At 09.35 A 79, A 77, P 21, H 4 (dead), X 36, X 46 arrived on 9351
down Toc shunting off, 4 Shell oil in no 3, and 12  flats of general loading
for Mooroopna, with attached locos P 21, H 4 , X 36, X 46 into no 4. The 2
A's continued on to Toc with 21 grain and 12 flats, briquettes and general
loading. Around lunchtime Shepps pilot (P 21) shunts at the shell siding and
Mooroopna's freight terminal, and switch trips to Dookie on an as required
basis. X 50, X51 arrive from Toc on 9352 around 13.00 container loading,
grain ex Toc, MT oil grain ex Dookie departs at 13.25, attaches loading at
Mooroopna for departure around 14.00.  P21 (LE) does another switch trip to
Mooroopna, brings back Mooroopna loading. A 79, A 77, P 21, arrive on 9354
around 20.40 shunts off grain attaches Mooroopna loading,& Shepp fast track
for departure around 21.00.  X 46, X 36, H 4, attach Tocumwal grain, make up
train no 9360 for departure at 23.35  Included in this busy schedule is the
regular Hoy's passenger service 2 ups and 2 downs.
