Sightings at Burnley - Kooyong Track Upgrade

The following trains were seen at Burnley - Madden Grove crossing on
Saturday 19 June 1999 at 12.20pm
Up - A73 with 12 VZOX waste ballast wagon
Down - T379 with 3 VFLX loaded sleeper wagons
Up - X52 + X53 light locos
At 12.40pm, T379 was travelling up on the outer up track at East Richmond. I
can only assume X52 + X53 took over the sleepers and headed out to Kooyong.
The work being performed was laying a new rail bed at Kooyong station. Track
machines also worked out of Burnley over the weekend.
