Of course a short term plan could be implemented and would have additional
trams on the streets almost at once thus reducing the effects of a tram
shortage. You fans of new cars won't like it but it need only be for a few
years and surely there are enough peak only trips that need to be operated by
these extra cars leaving the more modern (here he chokes and rolls around on
the floor laughing) cars to operate the other services. The National Trust
would be pleased along with the tram g......ls. And the general public might
not worry if it meant a reasonable service rather than the present one where
cancellations and late running are the order of the day.
