Isolated Rail Lines

Looking at an Atlas of Oz. recently prior to planning a trip to 
the Normanton and Croydon line in northern Queensland I noticed 
that there are other isolated rail lines in other parts of the 
country. 

Specifically was in marked in the north east of Queensland - on 
the coast - a long way north of Kurumba and Cairns. Does anyone 
know anything about this. Was it a line for a coal mine or 
whatever?
