Highly successful in landing you in jail. Under US law, this constitutes an
illegal postal lottery and mail fraud.

In Australia it breaches Section 61 of the Trade Practices Act and the
equivalent section of your state's Fair Trading Act.

Aside from being illegal, it is mathematically impossible for such schemes
(actually scams) to work. They rely on the premise of an infintely populated
universe, which we know is not true. For a newcomer to make the claimed amount
of money, it would require more people than there are on the planet to be
involved.
