This is correct.  The station's broadcast signal is quite low.  But
Eastern FM 98.1 is essentially only an outer eastern suburbs community
radio station and is based at Croydon with the transmitter located at
Ringwood East.

Nevertheless, the signal can be picked up quite well in most eastern
suburbs and in some unexpected areas ie. Spotswood, Williamstown, etc.

Eastern FM is a non-profit organisation with no government or
significant commercial sponsorship and really cannot be compared to most
of the stations mentionned above.

Sorry, for those in the non-receiving areas.  The dipole antennas are
apparently, the best for picking up the low FM signal.
