Where do you get this 'well known' from. I don't know, and I work in the rail
industry! And what do you mean 'never' run their trains to time? How many
experiences are you basing this on? My last experiences with VLP:
- 2330 down Geelong: Travelled Melbourne to Lara on time all the way (waited 2
mins at Werribee for the timetable to catch up with us)
- 1220 down Echuca: Travelled Melbourne to Echuca on time all the way (2 mins
early at Bendigo, 5 mins early at Echuca)
- 1600 down Albury: Travelled Melbourne to Albury 1 min late leaving Albury,
very close behind a very late Melbourne XPT. Arrived Melbourne on time.

There's that 'never' again. Last time I was in a situation that needed informing
was at Lara on the 1640 down Geelong. The Conductor made an announcement on the
train, explaining what was going on. He then stood on the platform, answering
questions. Within 40 mins, a train was available to 'assist in the rear'. A PA
announcement was made, and we went on our way.
Is this wildly inaccurate statement that VLP is the worst service in Australia
(with no evidence to support your statement) based on one bad experience?
Perhaps you have a life-long hatred for VLP? Are you a disgruntled ex-employee?
Do you own a bus company? Whatever your problem is, why take it out on VLP?
