Re: Nambour steam QLD

Bundaberg Fowler 0-6-2T B/n5 of 1952 will be in Nambour from Monday, 9th
August up to and including Saturday, 14th August. The locomotive, originally
from Pleystowe Mill, Mackay and now owned by The Australian Narrow Gauge
Railway Museum Society will be on loan to the Moreton Mill as part of the
district's annual Sugar Festival celebrations. The loco will be delivered
from ANGRMS Woodford museum site on Monday 9th August and then Tuesday
through to Saturday will be used to haul sugar cane from Howard Street Yard
up to the mill and return with empties. Probable use will be about every
hour between 8.0am and 4.0pm. In addition the locomotive should be on
display on the corner of Currie Street and Howard Street during the Sugar
Festival procession about midday on Saturday, 14th. This is similar to the
activities that took place during the mill centenary celebrations in 1997.
Providing it doesn't rain (as in 1997) the loco should put on a good display
at regular intervals during each day.
Hope this helps.
