city rail tunnels!!!!

i am intereted in finding out more about the underground tunneling
system in the city undergroud. and the tunnel at nth sydney that was
planed for gore hill. any info about lenghts ,dates built ,reasons for
stopping ,original plans, etc... etc, would be gratefully appreciated. i
would also like to locate a blueprint or plan of the undrground
networking. if any one has any idea were i could find one please help!
