Recycled locos

Not only are some of Queensland Rail's 1502 class enjoying an Indian Summer
being repainted in the corporate colours but news has come to hand that
Westrail's L268 has been repainted in yellow and black livery. This would
indicate that there may still be some work for these veteran units of which
12 remain in service.
268 holds the title of being the most decorated s g loco as in the early
80s it was turned out in a very attractive dark blue and white livery which
it carried until 1990 when it was outshopped in the orange colour sceme.
This was a one off experiment.
In my humble opinion there will never be a better colour scheme than the mid
blue scheme carried by the then WAGR s g units in the 70s.
