Some recent Melb spark news

Now that I have my RMIT account back....

1. Bayside's 112M returned to traffic last week, it has had it's AC
traction motors repaired and are still whining away as always (may be even
louder.) Seen today (Tue-23-02) on the Dandenong line.

2. Hillside's motor cars 341M & 463M (same set) was running around last
week without any green & gold stripes on the front. Unsure if it is still
running this week.

3. Bayside's 329M & 366M (same set), 382M (unsure of 381M), 379M (last
week, 380M had normal g&y stripes), 423M (unsure of 424M) all now have
bayside identification of the front. 329M's external number shows M329!

4. Hillside's 15M-1920T-16M re-entered servcie last Wednesday, after
being refurbished. For those of you who are interested, 15M used to have
a communication compartment protruding into it's passenger salloon, but
was removed during refurbishment and now looks like all other cars.

5. No more Hitachi sets are going to be refurbished. 3 sets are
currently in Bendigo undergoing refurbishment, but no more sets will be
done when these are returned. This leaves apporx 20 - 30 3car sets in
unrefurbished condition. More details will appera on my web page, it is
hoped to be updated in the next week or so.
