Re: TRAMWAY TRIVIA 1
North of Cairns, near Redlynch, the Cairns - Kuranda 3'6" line crosses via a
bridge over a 2" cane tram line.
South of Cairns, near Gordonvale, a 2" cane line crosses over the Cairns
Brisbane 3'6" line and also over the adjacent four lane highway via a brand
new earthern viaduct and short concrete bridge.
I don't know the third.
But, near Mackay there is rumoured to be a draw bridge which allows a 2'
cane tramline to cross the mainline. In northern queensland there are
probably several dozen diamonds where the two guages cross at grade.
