Canberra - Melbourne Connections.

I am travelling on the Canberra Xplorer / Melbourne Overnight XPT from
Canberra to Melbourne. The Xplorer arrives into Campbelltown from Canberra
(dep. CBR at 1720) (north bound) at 8:41pm, and the southbound overnight
Melbourne XPT is due to depart Campbelltown at 9:27pm (having left Sydney at
2043).
Countrylink will not garantee this connection but does anyone know how safe
this is likely to be??? The other option is alighting the Xplorer at Moss
Vale at 7:34, and waiting around for the overnight XPT untill 10:30.
