Re: Flat locomotive batteries question



One common cause of dead batteries in Loco's is the lack of water in them
caused by an over charging Voltage Regulator on the Locomotive, it also
causes headlights to stop working depending on how bad the fault is.

Lack of routine maintenance is another cause. Due to cost cutting
maintenance seems to be done only at ever increasing intervals of time.
