It occurs to me that Flinders Street would have fitted this category
between 1857 and 1859 when the Port Melbourne and St Kilda lines existed
and before the Eastern line was opened to Richmond.

Also, what about Echuca?  My 1927 VR Grades book shows the line from
Bendigo opening in 1864 and that from Toolamba in 1887 - but when was
the line over the river built?  My book has no page 5 & 6 and guess what
line is supposed to be on page 5?
