Re: Katoomba Scenic Railway not steepest?

Is this all a storm in a teacup? What, precisely, is the difference between
a funicular railway and a lift? They both raise passengers in a vehicle
running on and/or guided by rails.

(BTW, how do you express the gradient of a lift in the percentage system -
infinity%??!!
It's 1 in 0 or, for that matter, anything you like in 0, in the "British"
system".)
