Benalla is north of Violet Town; Junee is north of Benalla.

BTW does anyone know how the cleanup was handled at the Up end. Was a
breakdown/rescue train run to the rear of the goods?

It is impressive that a collision at over 100 mph (72+ 30/35) resulted
in so few casualties. Also how quickly the line was reopened. The SG
at 10.10pm on the day and BG at 1.57am the next morning.

Cheers

Just another eccentric crank.
