To be precise, the last scheduled passenger train from Cooma was on 26
November 1988 - a DEB set. There's a photo in Ian Robertson's booklet
'Rails to Cooma'. The RTM and ARHS ACT ran the final train to Cooma in the
following year for the centenary, by then the bridge across the Numeralla
River had been condemned and passengers had to be bussed between Bredbo and
Chakola, where the loop had to be specially re-instated for three return
trips for the Cooma public. The points were unspiked and a crow bar was
used, in conjunction with a points clip.
