I hear from the grapevine that EL52 & EL60 currently part of the group
stored at Goninans Bassendean are to be overhauled by Goninans.
Part of the overhaul will be the regauging of the bogies to 3'6" after which
they will be transferred (on suitable transfer bogies, of course) to
Brisbane to take up duties hauling the Great South Pacific Express.
Interesting move if it eventuates.
