R766 R711 Ballarat Tour, Your Questions Answered

Hi All,

Well, just read the posts on ausrail re Sundays tour.

I am glad you all enjoyed the photo stops, we did our best to arrange the
best spots for you.

The headboard, was arranged by myself to be removed for the photo stops, and
after having every re board the train after the second Photo run, I noticed
the Headbroad back on, A radio call to the driver was made to have it
removed and a conductor assisted in that. Sorry that it went back on.

Beggars cant be chooses with the Parallel run, They were nearly not going to
let us do it, After I spent long hours drawing up the timetable, It was
tough to do the Parallel run due to National Express service's. however it
was done, and it was great. I believe it is the first time that had been
done up Warrenheip.

There is no need to say R.I.P. to R766 she we will back, and the 2000 steam
year will be great.

Photo stops could not be arranged for the return, due to the tight
timetable, but I see a few people would have liked them, So next time, If
we use diesels I will try and arrange a stop or two.

Any way I hope to see you on the next tour that is bought to you by SWRail
and West Coast.

I am starting a email list for tour info for SWRail and WCR tours, if you
want to receive an email on the next tour sometime in the early part of
2000, please email me direct at daltongang@optusnet.com.au.
