[VIC] Epping line 10/12/99

G'day,
A few problems at Clifton Hill last night resulted in big delays on the
Epping line. First, at around 1900, police were called to remove unruly
passengers of the 1852 dn Epping. It took them 20 minutes to turn up,
resulting in this train being delayed by 22 minutes, which in turn
delayed the 2018 up Epping by 16 minutes.
Then, at 2250, a points failure at Clifton Hill delayed the 2226 dn by
22 minutes, the 2256 dn by 15 minutes, the 2336 dn by 5 minutes and the
2318 up by 15 minutes.

New timetable posters are up at Epping line stations and the major
improvements are the 4 up trains daily wich run express CHL - JLI (the
0826 up and theree trains in a row b/n 1630 and 1730). This is step in
the right direction. All we need now is a few peak trains in both
directions running express TSN - RES - PRE - CHL - JLI!!
