a train has no emergency brakes it simply has an emergency position of the
brake controller .. this simply applies the normal braking as quickly as
possible whilst laying sand etc to prevent wheel slip... reversing of TM
swould not assist because of the resultant wheel slip and the dmage to
motors would be huge ....
