Re: I think I have met Reggie !

Hmmmm! Seems I have met Reggie too. I'm not a frequent traveller on
specials, but I DO remember him on the day K190 last ran to Maffra (1991?).
I was recording the sound of the K on the Avon River trestle (2 photo
run-bys) when he came over to offer technical advice on how I could make my
recordings better. Of course, some of his suggestions I couldn't really find
fault with, but I prefer to look a little less obvious than he does. My
recordings came out perfectly well (CD available for $25 at Hobbies Plus,
Stratford 3862) without needing huge foam covered microphones.
Interestingly, I only saw him again (instantly recognisable) at Newport
station when L1162 made its way back to the Steamrail depot after the last
run to Warragul last year.
Maybe I was lucky. He seemed quite harmless to me.
