Five dead in train derailment

9.35am (AEDT) NSW emergency services said five people died and several are
critically after a commuter train today smashed into the back of the Indian
Pacific train at Glenbrook, west of Sydney.
Ambulance crews and rescue workers were trying to free the trapped people,
while the walking injured were being helped from the wreckage.
Three carriages were derailed.
Both trains have been evacuated and the injured are being treated at the
scene.
At least 14 amabulance crews are at the crash site.
A local resident told ABC Radio the crash shook his house, which is about
75m from the railway line.
He said the crash happened about 8.25am.
