There was also a tunnel on the Rockhampton to Emerald line , out near
Blackwater. It was opened out to a cutting when they electrified the line.

I recall looking for the tunnel back in the non electrified days. Informed
"sources" had said it was difficult to find. It proved real tricky... at the
summit of the hill on the highway , there was a dirt road turnoff. Pinned to
a tree was a large hand painted picture of a tunnel portal, with an arrow
and the inscription "To Tunnel"  !
