Re: Olympic Park (NSW) Passengers taken for a ride

A return ticket from Flemington to Olympic Park (one station away) costs $4.40
if you buy it from the ticket machine, or $2.40 if you buy it from the ticket
window.

But go to Strathfield Stn (two stations further away from Olympic Park), and
the ticket machine will sell you a return ticket for $2.40.

Also of interest at Strathfield is the change to the Fast Fare ticket machines.
Since their introduction, Fast fare machines at all stations have had 'City'
as the number 1 option. Some time ago they decided to change the Strathfield
machines to have no. 1 as 'Olympic Park', relegating 'City' to the no. 2
button. How many people in a hurry would have pressed no. 1, only to get to
their city station to find they have a ticket to Olympic Park?
