That seems like a nice poem if only I spoke the Nordic tongue that goes with
it. But America......some of us in the south are still bitten by what it is
supposed to mean. We call it the U.S. because it's a name not an
implication. OK I'm old fashioned, but Lincoln created his own precedent;
there was none in the constitution, and we were justified in our secession,
even if poorly equipped to make it work too. A good book to read is "Iron
Confederacies" which is about Southern Railroads in the Civil War and
reconstruction; and the carpetbagging yankees, who ironically funded their
rise from postwar ashes.
