James, it certainly was Orbost.  The line was ripped up some years ago,
still in very good condition at the time.  If you are looking for good
shots, try the Stony Ck trestle bridge, it is sign posted from the
highway.  It is between Nowa Nowa and Nicholson (I think).  Also try the
Hospital Ck trestles, the Nicholson river bridge and the long bridge as
you come into Orbost.   I know I mention bridges, but they are all
impressive structures for either length or height.   You will need a map,
most maps probably still indicate the line.  It's easy to find and it is a
rail trail, so if you have a mountain bike or pony, ride it.
