You are 100% correct when you say American football is boring and a
waste of effort.  It sucks, big time.  But as for the comment about
bashing everything American and the Americanization of Australia (which
is really the evolution of Australia along with the rest of the World),
just be thankful that a lot of the British influence is fading, or you'd
be complaining about the further Pommieization of Australia.  Stop and
think about it - which one is worse?
