There certainly was one on the old line to Renmark, what's more it's still
there, sans railway, and it still moves. The bridge is a lift span bridge, the
Sturt Highway from Adelaide to Mildura, and on to Wagga runs over the bridge.
When the railway was still in place it ran down the middle of the bridge with
one lane of the road on either side.

The centre span of the bridge lifts and was used to allow riverboats to pass
underneath. It is now raised on an as needed basis at certain hours only, at
other times large vessels (mostly tourist boats) have to wait either at
Renmark on the upstream side or at the lock on the downstream side.
