Dudley Street Daylighted

This happened last weekend, but as no-one has reported it on the NG, I
thought I'd post this message.

All bridges no longer in use by rail (ie the ex-Melbourne Yard leads)
that covered Dudley Street, West Melbourne were removed over the
weekend of 17-18 April 1999.   The spans covering the south and
central carriageway have been removed, but the spans covering the
northern carriageway of Dudley Street are still intact (for the time
being anyway, and there are no notices of impending road closures).
