Hotham Valley used the fibreglass insulation for sometime but found that it
held the water from various sources and increased the rust problem.  It
seems that now they rely on air alone as a insulator with some means of
preventing the circulation within the void.
They used to have a Engineering Manager but he now drives trains full time.
