This is only partly true - the departure location is correct, but the
train will not run to Macquarie. Austrac have actually purchased the
land between the Opera House and that new high rise luxury apartment
block  An rail/ocean transfer terminal with a siding extending from
Circulay Quay will be constructed for the loading/unloading of not
just logs but all the other freight contracts they are gaining. The
long term plan is to eventually rebuild the Darling Harbour goods yard
to cope with all their new traffic. It should be interesting to see
what locos they will use - apparently they have approached Simsmetal
to see if any records were kept of who bought bits & pieces(souvenirs)
from locos that were being scrapped - Austrac want to buy back the
parts because they anticipate needing them!!
