NR class ( and grey BLs) have a new fangled modern device for boiling
water called a "electric kettle". It seems to work okay. Just make
sure the water isn't from Sydney!!!

They also have CD players and mobile phones so I guess that rules them
out for suburban trains in Sydney but thats another thread.
