An article in Rail Directions indicates that the front runners for this
service are now , Freightcorp , Westrail and Silverton.
ASR , who now provide the service under contract have not been shortlisted as
is also the case with NRC.
The current contract expires on Jan 31st .
Whilst its pretty obvious that both Freightcorp and Westrail have enough
resources , ie locos & wagons to provide such a service , would Silverton have
enough spare locos?
