SELLING RAIL



Rail seems a bit shy of self promotion.

In this political system a popular idea will generally prevail over a sound
one (e.g.. $$$$$ new roads are popular whilst $c rail corridor
improvements...).  Why
aren't rail companies actively promoting themselves and/or the industry?

Rail is supposedly economical/clean/green/road savers and basically human
friendly. Why not spell it out to the wider community - who knows even the
(not) odd Transport Minister might get educmakated.

The side of a 1300 meter freight train would make a great bill board.
