The Adelaide Advertiser has reported that Great
Southern will be running a 37 car Ghan to the Alice on
the 16th of this month.
The consist will include, 15 1st class sleepers, 8
first class lounges and diners, 2 holiday class
sleepers, one each holiday lounge and diner, 2 coach
class, 1 crew car, 2 power vans, 3 motorail flats.
896 metres for 1904 tonnes to be hauled by 2 NR class.
It will be a record breaking train for GSR, the report
added. It would also appear that the 2 NR's are
included in the 37.!
