Contract calls for 113. More are used on Fridays but a few less during
the week. Very rare for trains to be delayed / cancelled due to "wait
locos" nowadays.

Slight improvement. GSR services operate around 90-95% on time with NR
haulage.

Less - much less. Still the odd NR failure but not at the rate of
80/442/700/C class and the like.

Fuel cost is less and reliability is up. Servicing costs are down
partially as a result of NR taking on provisioning of their locos. PTC
(Vic) used to charge $150 per loco for use of the South Dynon
facilities (this has recently risen to $228).
