Yes your right, however I did say "and others". I will
rephrase that, THE MEDIA including the print hounds.
True they are not there to promote rail, but you have
to wonder about some of the other issues they do push
on a regular basis.  With the billions of dollars being
spent on roads, rail and public transport it should be
up there.

To be fair to the private rail operators they have not
been operating all that long,  and it would be certain
career suicide for public rail administrators to
criticise their political masters.
Of course there are lobby groups like Rail 2000.
