Is that right.  One thing though Barry, QR charges some
of the highest prices known for mineral cartage, o'l
Joh BP made sure of that years ago, it was these
charges that ensured QR could keep uneconomic branch
lines open like the good old Normanton to Croyden.!
The National Network does not have multinational miners
that it can slug for ore cartage.

I hate to say this, but Queensland with its skinny
gauge does not rate in the Standard Gauge National
network, except for the SG into Brisbane.
