It strikes me as typical of governments to cut the railway budget by 2 1/2 times what it cuts the road budget by, despite the fact that railways and public transport run well could relieve the need for a lot of roads spending anyway. Oh well, perhaps NSW is trying to catch up to Victoria - casino, public transport cuts, what next?
