Hi Adrian

I seem to recall last Wendsday te preceding Newcastle train was delayed
for about 5-10 minutes at Redfern. In that context It would have been
sensible to route the train onto the down suburban at Clevland St cross
overs and then for the train to go back onto the main at the Macdonald
town cross overs.

After the Mt Victora train had crossed over to the suburban the
Newcastle train then departed thus causing the socalled stuff-up. Also
you have to remember that station staff are some times the last people
to know about such chages. Especally in peak hour when you are dealing
with 2 min head ways.

Sorry if I come across as a smart arse but that is the only reason I
could think of, for what happed last Wendsday.

See ya -greg
