Because some twitdecided when they quadruplicated, that the up main should be on
the left when facing Sydney.

Now, to travel on the fast line from Strathfield to Penrith, you actually travel
on the Main to Harris Park, the West Suburban to Westmead, the Suburban to St
Marys, and the Main again to Penrith.  All without changing tracks!,
