Over the last few weeks the number of customers on both the Broken Hill and
Griffith service was dropping to the point that the buffet staff have been keeping
the third car locked to save cleaning it. The decision was taken to remove the
third car from the train as it is a waste of time and money to use it at all. I
understand that if the numbers do increase in the warmer months the third car will
be reintroduced.
