Why not?????? What's wrong with refurbishment if the cars are to remain in
traffic for a while yet. Why should passengers endure crappy worn out
seats and paintwork - it hardly attracts the masses to public transport.
Without the Tulloch cars, you'd end up with more six car sets running
around in peak hours, with consequent overcrowding.
