Yes, it _is_. When I arrive at a station, and a train pulls in early/late
whatever, I don't want to waste time sticking my ticket in the validator
when _it is already valid_.
I want to get on the train.
MetCard is inefficient, and hence, is not "World's Best Practice". (But if
you use their own terms against them, their heads start spinning).
