So we're not allowed to progress? We've gotta stay in the "good ol' days"
have we? It's bad enough that management is living in a time warp. Steam
crews were given the time and equipment to do the job properly and it took
up to 15 years to become a driver - now it can take less than 2 years. These
days they don't want to waste money on trained loco crews doing menial tasks
that can be done by someone on even more pitiful wages than a Driver.
