The red hot roumour for this month is that Freightcorp are having talks with
a leading US Class 1 railroad about the possibility of a joint partnership to
take over NRC. The proposal is based on NSW already owns 40% so they buy half
the Victorian share. The Yanks buy the other 10% from Kennett and 40% from
little Johnny and there you have it! Now you may ask yourself, why would the
yanks want to get into bed with Freightcorp? Think about it. It will soon
become clear.
