This double the number of services to Brisbane. The extra north coast
services and interworkings to Melbourne can easily be worked by only 6 2+7
XPT sets. If there were problems, there are sufficient spares to form
relief services. E.g., NT24 can be turned into a 2+7 set to form NT5. The
arrival of NT6 (or ST2, but timing is tight) the next morning can then be
turned into a 2+5 set to form NT23.
